Prior to starting Karibu Jambo, he worked for several years for Fortune 500 companies such as The Anglo-Dutch energy giant Royal Dutch Shell and Cummins Inc - the largest independent producer of diesel engines and diverse power solutions in the world, overseeing their business development and project management activities in Africa, Europ and North America.

Tamba is a Tony Elumelu Foundation alumni and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from The University of South Africa and a Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute in Pennsylvania, USA.
